7.29.21

This is me sitting down to write, just even a little bit, before bed. I’m very sleepy. I took a nap in the waiting room today at the Center for Connection, where H does three types of therapy (occupational, educational, and talk). Soon the program will change and H will just be doing Occupational therapy twice a week. I feel this sense that this intense level of attention to all of the “problems” H needs therapy for is going to backfire. If all you did as a kid was go to therapy, what will you have to talk about in therapy as an adult? It’s such a complicated situation. Like obviously M and M want what’s best for H and they want them to be happy and healthy and versatile, but I worry that this degree of attention toward “fixing” is problematic.
