I realize I write so much about realizing I can just sit down to write. All it takes is taking the time. Okay so now I am taking the time. I think the thing to do is before bed just sit and write regardless of how tired I am, for at least five minutes.

Here’s what A said tonight that stood out:
God doesn’t care how you get to God. God doesn’t care how you get there. Take whatever path you want. God doesn't care if you take the 101 or the 405 or the 5. God doesn’t care.

I had this idea about writing a screenplay that takes place in a world where there are two types of people: those who believe that when you break a mirror you get seven years of bad luck and those who don’t. The movie would be about placebo and the arbitrary way we make sense of the world and how we identify ourselves within it. I can’t tell if it’s a good idea or not. I guess I could work on some scenes. It would be an interesting practice to create a world exactly like ours but then it has this mandate that serves as an invisible umbrella over this world. Maybe the main character hasn’t decided what they believe yet.
